Worth Named to the 2026 GrowFL Companies to Watch List

Worth has been named to the 2026 GrowFL Florida Companies to Watch list, the statewide recognition now in its 16th year. For Worth's three co-founders, the honor carries extra weight because they built the company in the city where they made their name in payments.
Sal Rehmetullah, Suneera Madhani, and Jacques Fu scaled Stax into a billion-dollar fintech platform in Orlando. In 2023, Worth launched in the same city, planning to stay in Central Florida and give back to the community that helped them succeed. That commitment is made apparent in Worth’s growing headcount. The company established a new headquarters in Winter Park, where the local team grew about 75% in 2026 alone.
Worth was built around a gap the founders saw firsthand at Stax. Small business underwriting is often slow and fragmented, with data spread across tools that rarely agree.
"We started Worth because we lived with this problem ourselves," Rehmetullah said at the launch of Decision Intelligence, Worth’s latest product innovation. "Even when small business owners are creditworthy, the system can't always see that clearly."
The platform brings onboarding, underwriting, and risk management into one AI-powered system for banks, credit unions, fintechs, payment providers, and ISVs. Crosswalking Technology reconciles incomplete or inconsistent business information starting from as little as a business name. That verified data feeds the Worth Score, a unified credit score built from 1,200+ data points across a database of 350M+ small businesses. KYB, KYC, IDV, AML, and fraud checks run in the same place, so lenders spend less time stitching vendors together and more time making decisions.
Momentum has followed. In March 2026, Worth closed a $30 million Series A with American Express Ventures, Fulcrum Equity Partners, and TTV Capital. In the first half of the year, the customer base nearly doubled, and application processing capacity reached five times its January level.
Giving back is a habit for all three founders. Rehmetullah supports UCF's fintech programs, having established the first fintech scholarship at UCF, and serves on the Orlando Economic Partnership board, part of a broader push to make Central Florida a center for fintech and AI. he’s also been named to the Orlando Business Journal’s 40 under 40 list.
Madhani invests in the next generation through the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation, which helps the city's young people build confidence and chase their goals. Through her CEO School community and Unicorn Summit, she also helps women and minority entrepreneurs build and scale companies, and this year she was named to the Orlando Business Journal's Most Influential Leaders list.
Fu has spent years building Orlando's tech and nonprofit community. He co-founded Orlando Devs, a nonprofit and the city's largest developer group with more than 8,000 technologists. He also co-founded The Assistance Fund, one of Orlando's largest charities, and the JASKY Foundation, which funds programs that tackle food insecurity and education. He has been recognized by the Orlando Business Journal as a major contributor to the area’s startup culture.
The recognition belongs to the Worth team, and to the customers and partners who pushed the platform to get better. Thanks also to GrowFL for the work it does to spotlight Florida companies and connect their founders.
Honorees will be celebrated at the GrowFL CEO Summit and Gala at Loews Aventura Resort on February 26, 2027.
